LIMINAL II: The American Scream
The motel has been abandoned for eight years. Its VACANCY sign is still offering a room.
Along the old highways, a road witness finds shops whose owners keep arriving after the customers have stopped. A man watches his foreclosed diner through the glass. A cashier sells postcards of a parking lot that used to be full. Farther into the mountains, something keeps pace with the truck where nobody should be able to run.
An in-world True Mage text by J.D. Forrest.
Six main reports and three bonus reports. About 28,000 words.
