Berlin, a few years ahead of schedule: Alexanderplatz, the U-Bahn, concrete, wire, chrome, and a liturgy that ran industrial. One line of it is on file, "beten zu dem neuen Dom." Praying to the new cathedral.
The file sums the place up in four words: "bodies are deprecated hardware."
Notices
The notice came first. One of the five songs is Du bist schon infiziert. You are already infected. Whoever it was addressed to was past the point of warning.
Another is Maschinenherz. Machine heart. The profile puts the thesis in one line: "flesh is the error in the machine's design."
Timekeeping
No hour on file. What's left of the clock is the count-in before a song, in German. Eins, zwei. Links zwo drei vier. Compare The Wonderful World, which kept its calendar and stopped it.
Voice
The file lists a voice and no lineup. Male, a low baritone, half spoken and slow on the verses, torn open on the choruses. German is his first language. The English keeps a hard edge on the consonants.
Some songs stop dead on one spoken word. Perfekt.
The only warm line in the file comes out wrong. Ich liebe dich. Ich liebe mich. I love you. I love myself. Same breath, same weight.
Retained
Five songs: Flesh//error, Maschinenherz, Du bist schon infiziert, Schattenkuss, Mørkets Dvale. The last is in Norwegian, blast beats and tremolo. The loud half of the station runs after dark, ten to two, on a show with the same name.
Source of record: Cleared. Revised 2026-10-18.
