The Sacred Bat is a baseball bat: "old wood, worn smooth," and "Not from here."

It was "carved from the cross of reality HJ-527-Q" and blessed by the blood of a sacrificed League member. It's a League relic. Nothing more is known about that reality, or that cross.

"It is a relic. It has opinions about how it gets used."

Name and designation

Mostly it's called the baseball bat. Verone's file card lists the Sacred Bat, HJ-527-Q, as his weapon. HJ-527-Q is also the reality its cross came from.

Behavior

"May morph when needed." A blade, knuckles, whatever the moment calls for. A "practical weapon with opinions."

The opinions show. Carried into the chapel at Stillwell, it "does what he tells it to, mostly." It has opinions about being swung at certain things.

Verone isn't the one hesitating.
