The Paramentals

The power grid has angels in it.

They're Electric Angels, one of four kinds of Paramental, also called Urban Fae. Each kind belongs to something a city is built from or runs on.

Together they're the population of Stillwell Below, the hidden underside of Stillwell, Indiana. Hexorius speaks for the city they live in.

Electric Angels

Their material is the power grid, with radio transmission and electromagnetic fields. They're "the ones riding GZS Radio," whose towers count as magical infrastructure.

Steel Salamanders

Fire and industrial metal: foundries, factories, furnaces, exhaust.

Crystal Elves

Glass, silicon, fiber optic, screens. The digital threshold spirits.

Concrete Gnomes

Concrete infrastructure and municipal maintenance. Their field is "the unseen upkeep of cities," the work that keeps a place standing while nobody notices it getting done.
