TRUEMAGE.COM The letter
A thin man in a ball cap eats peanuts in a bar booth, his wide grin laid over a second, frightened face.

Billy Grin

Local, strange, useful, and frightened beneath the grin. Tied to old roads, bad doors, and Verone's life before the mantle.

"Billy always knows a back way in, but never a clean way out."

That's the rule on Billy Grin. Most of what's known about him fits inside it.

What he is

"Local, strange, useful, frightened beneath the grin." A local connector and back-way specialist. Human, no powers, with unusual access knowledge.

Ties

Old roads, bad doors, Club Zer0, and Verone's life before the mantle.

Billy knew him before the mantle. What he knew then, he isn't saying.

Manner

"Grinning even when frightened." He "Knows more than he lets on." The grin deforms, constantly, and it's covering something.

He's always a little too ready. His information comes from somewhere he won't name.

Status

Alive. No fixed description. First seen in Stillwell, in the corner at Club Zer0, eating peanuts.

Source of record: Series Bible; Character Sheet. Cleared. Revised 2026-10-17.
