TRUEMAGE.COM The letter
A vast records hall: clerks in rows seen from behind, wardens with key rings on the balconies above.

The Archons

The prison-world's administrators, from clerks and wardens up to correctional angels and algorithmic saints. No horns.

Designation
Administrators of the cage
Class
Administrators

"Administrators. Not horned demons. Clerks, wardens, auditors, magistrates, correctional angels, algorithmic saints, managers of the cage."

The description ends there. The second thing it says is what they aren't.

The cage

The Archons manage the cage, which is the prison-world. Most of the titles are offices in a bureaucracy: clerk, warden, auditor, magistrate.

Two are stranger. Correctional angels and algorithmic saints bolt a desk job onto a sacred one. Their ranks and names aren't in this file.

One job title runs the length of the architecture. The Demiurge was its system administrator of matter. The Archons administer what he built.

Where they turn up

The courthouse. Police stations and courthouses carry law manipulation and authority current, and Archon administrative courts are among their properties.

The bar. One of Club Zer0's house laws is "No Archon paperwork at the bar." A rule like that assumes the paperwork exists.

The Deck. Detecting Archon interference is one of the Source Deck's uses.

Likeness

Nobody has written down what an Archon looks like in the Middle.
