LIMINAL: The Space In-Between
The diner is still serving. The mall still opens its doors. Nobody can explain why the room feels occupied after the last customer leaves.
An unnamed road witness follows the night shift through laundromats, dive bars, airport terminals and places he remembers differently in daylight. He keeps a notebook. He watches people work. The longer he stays, the less he trusts the categories he brought with him.
An in-world True Mage text by J.D. Forrest.
Six field reports and two bonus encounters. About 16,500 words.
