"Magick is access. Not power."
Access to cross, contact, bargain, trespass, infect, invoke, evoke, map, alter and negotiate with layers of reality you can't normally perceive.
The core rule
"Every spell feeds something."
A sigil feeds a desire. A ritual feeds an entity. A story feeds a reality. A god feeds on belief. A city feeds on attention. A meme feeds on repetition, and a True Mage spell feeds the prison, or breaks it.
"No free spells."
Four kinds
Ritual magick. Traditional systems, spirits, correspondences, folk rites and offerings. An old egregore can hijack the operator.
Chaos magick. Belief as a tool: sigils, gnosis, paradigm shifting, servitors, godform hacking. It breeds unstable lifeforms, and doors nobody authorized.
Memetic magick. Ideas, media, symbols, brands, slogans, narratives, viral payloads. It infects the operator and spreads past whatever anybody meant.
Deep magick. Source-level or architecture-level manipulation, worked through the mantle. It's paid for in Accord enforcement, reality damage and identity erosion.
The exploit
"Chaos magick is the human-discovered exploit in the Demiurge's prison architecture."
That makes Verone dangerous to the system he enforces.
How it looks
Nothing glows. No aura, no lightning in the hands, no energy beam, no spell circle hanging in the air. This is "belief technology, not special effects."
When Verone works, it shows as pressure and distortion.
Asphalt cracks. Walls bend. Shadows misbehave, geometry warps, and the weather leans on the place.
The man doing the work shows the strain.
